About Bird Race

The Bird Race is a sunrise-to-noon team activity where participants explore Udaipur’s lakes, wetlands, forests, and eco-zones to identify as many bird species as possible. Running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the race encourages birders—new and experienced—to discover habitats around Menar, Udai Sagar, Sisarma, and the region’s rich winter migrant hotspots.

Why It Matters:
The Bird Race helps map species diversity, promote conservation awareness, and connect people with the region’s wetlands and iconic birds like Black-necked Stork, Flamingos, Waders, Painted Stork, Raptors, and more.

  • Route: Designated bird-watching circuits covering diverse wetland and forest ecosystems around Udaipur
