About Wetland Visit
The Wetland Visit is one of the most immersive experiences of the Udaipur Bird Festival, designed to introduce participants to the region’s most vital and vibrant bird habitats. Running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, this full-day guided field journey takes participants from Udaipur to six ecologically rich routes, covering lakes, marshes, river systems, and lesser-known wetland pockets. Each route is led by expert bird guides who help visitors spot, observe, and understand the behaviour of waders, ducks, raptors, and migratory species that define Udaipur’s winter biodiversity.
The visit blends exploration, learning, and conservation awareness, offering participants close encounters with diverse habitats and species. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned nature enthusiast, the Wetland Visit encourages mindful observation, ecological sensitivity, and appreciation for the wetlands that sustain Udaipur’s birdlife.
